HopLop and Leo's Playland join forces to offer adventure park experiences for the whole family. The merger will enable them to offer more diverse play and exercise opportunities for families with children in Finland and to accelerate international growth.
HopLop's main shareholder, CapMan Special Situations I Fund, and Leo´s Leikkimaa's main shareholder, Litorina IV, have agreed on an ownership deal that will see HopLop and Leo's Leikkimaa merge to form Europe's leading indoor play park group. The owners of both chains will continue to be part of the new entity.
According to Kalle Peltola, CEO of HopLop, the joining of forces is natural, as HopLop and Leo´s Playland have the same goal; to create a meeting place for families to play, exercise and have fun. "The merger also creates a better basis for accelerating international growth." he continues.
The HopLop chain will continue to operate in Finland under the HopLop brand.
"HopLop and Leo's Playground have developed well since the coronavirus pandemic receded. However, rapidly rising rent and energy costs are affecting our operations. Together, we are even better placed to develop more diversified services and improve the efficiency of our operations," says Joakim Gunler, founder and CEO of Leo's Playland.
