There has been a lot of talk recently about children's physical activity and whether it is sufficient. Our survey also shows that almost half of parents are concerned about their child's lack of physical activity. Marja Kinnunen, a social psychologist and Executive Director of the Tuki- ja liikuntaelinliitto Tule ry, points out that the most important thing is to find the ways in which the child and the whole family like to move and play in everyday life, and to find ways to increase them. For us in Hoplopla, too, the most important goal is to increase physical activity through play. In a varied environment, children's motor, physical and social skills develop imperceptibly, and time flies when they are having fun.
That's why, based on our survey, we've compiled a list of the best ways to get children moving and playing:

- Playful competitions
- Forest hike with picnic lunch
- Outdoor or indoor trick track
- Treasure hunt
- Homemade ninja circuit
- Yard games and ball games such as dodgeball, mirror and colour games
- Sometimes small prizes, such as edible treats
- Working together with parents
- Getting out and about with friends
- Music and singing games
- Trying new, fun things
- Family bike rides with picnics
- Swimming trips to beaches in summer
- A temple track can be built in a nearby forest
- For example, rings and half-timber for your own home
- Trampoline in the yard for the summer
- Hide and seek and being a hippie
- Well, the HopLop trips of course! 😉
